I normally got 4 sessions out of a 5 gallon LP tank on my Brutus

I always have 3 tanks full at a time though, never know when you may need to BBQ for a party while brewing.

I use a banjo burner and do 10-11 gallon batches and go through a tank every 2.5 sessions. This includes:

Heating 10 gallons water from ~55 to 165 twice (once for mash water , once for sparge water) and boiling 14 gallons for 90 minutes.

I'm toying with the idea of running a second hose to my brew station for hot water to cut down on time/gas.

YOu can always use a bucket heater to heat up your water.... I would recommend two of the 1000watt ones. They work really well if you are just doing 5g batches. If you have a temp controller and a thermowell, you can turn just one on at night and wake up to your strike temp.

I did a search and found what I think you mean - ~$40 each?? Would it be safe to run two off a single 20 amp circuit? I don't think I would end up connecting to a timer/thermowell but would be good to augment the propane.
