Converting From Natural Gas to Propane

Postby JodieB » Thu Jan 10, 2013 7:46 am

I've moved and need to convert my single-tier Sculpture like this one http://morebeer.com/view_product/28118/ ... _-_Digital from natural gas to propane. While I have propane tank for the house, I'd rather use BBQ tanks for my brewery.
I contacted More Beer and they sent me these burners:
http://morebeer.com/view_product/17245/ ... _55000_btu
with these adapters:
http://morebeer.com/view_product/7684/1 ... t_for_H205
A couple of problems:
1. The suggested coupler doesn't look like it fits to what I need to attach it to on my Sculpture.
2. How do I remove the burners that are on there-I can't turn it. Do I have to take the entire three burners and the pipe in the front they are attached to off?
3. The new burner will stick out way too much installed for the HLT. It will nearly extend beyond the back of the frame. Plus, how the heck do I hookup the thermometer and auto-ignite to it?
Left two messages for the Sculpture help guy with no response, so figured I'd seek wisdom here. I haven't brewed in two years after moving remodeling the house and building a barn and am ANXIOUS!

Thanks,
Jodie

The MPT end should screw into the burner and you would attach the regulator hose to the flared end

I agree with Drew. I built my own sculpture and helped a friend construct several others, the only obsticle that we had discovered was the hard pipeing plumbed to the burner. If you get a replacement burner of a different dimention you may need to make adjustments there, in the plumbing yet the burner your showed us seems fine.
