Lindeman / Cantillon bottles for wine?

Does anyone know if you can use these bottles for wine? They came with a cork and a cap. The cork are shorter than a normal wine bottle, but they seem pretty close in diameter.

7# wine corks are really for champaign bottles and will last 12-18months if you are doing a still wine I dont see the need for a cap as well.
