Anyone ever used one of these Vino del Vida win kits? How was the final product?

They are ok, they are highly concentrated so you don't get as much complexity as if you had a higher volume of juice but they work. RJ Spagnols and Wine Expert both make very good kits and I have a hard time telling much difference. I have placed in competitions with wines from both companies.

Brandon,
I have done several of the Vino del Vida kits (Shiraz, Merlot, Chardonnay, Sav. Blanc, Red Zin). I think they definitely need to be aged more than the higher end kits. For instance, I made the Merlot in both the Vino Del Vida and Wine Expert and found the Wine Expert to be really good almost immediately. The Vino Del Vida was certainly not a disappointment immediately; but it definitely was much better after 6 months and even better after 12 months. I have some Red Zin and Shiraz that is over 18 months old and are now excellent. (none of my Wine Expert bottles ever made it that long; so unfortunately, I cannot compare the difference now).
I have a Pinot Noir Vino del Vida bubbling now; so I keep going back to them, if that helps any.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
