Backglass, wine kits make 6 gallons of wine. If your primary is only 6.5 gallon carboy, you might be or will be doing some clean up after it turns into a geiser. Spending the extra $15-$20 on a new primary is a safe bet. On some of the kits that I have made (just red ones) I have found some foam or krausen on the lid from the 7.8 gallon primary bucket.
