How long does it take to pick one ton of grapes?

I'm considering picking my grapes this year instead of paying the vineyard to pick for me. Approximately, how long does it take to pick one ton of caberet sauvignon grapes?

You can probably pick 100 pounds per hour and still have all your fingers at the end of the day. You also need to factor in the distance from where you are picking to the collection bin and how long it will take to lug the your bucket to the bin. The topology of the vineyard is also a factor. Hillside vineyards are hard work and the loads in your bucket will start getting lighter as the day goes on. A professional picket will be at least 3 to 4 times faster than you and the margin will widen as the day goes on.
