Yes, it should drill quite nicely. This may be gratuitous advice, if so I apologize, but use a step drill and you will have an easy time of it. I bought a set at Costco awhile back for twenty bucks. A single bit from the hardware store is seventy!

Hmm.. i just looked at the listing and the price is $198.43 .. Maybe it's done with the GWB exchange rate conversion formula..

As was mentioned in the thread (if you bothered reading it  ) the price went back up a day or two after it was listed.

Have you ever noticed that the napkin that comes sealed in a plastic bag with the fork, spoon, & condiments smells like the essence of black pepper? It has HUGE black pepper aroma! I'm pretty certain that Christopher Walken is behind this....

I need to find that deal on a step bit. We planned on stepping it up bit by bit if it was thick enough, if not, we were going to search friends for a step bit.

I have only seen the $70 type step bits too.

Glad to help! Go low & slow with a bit of oil & use pressure on it. Worked like a charm for me.

Bump. It's been about a year. For those of you that purchased this pot, are you still happy with it? I need to upgrade, and even though the price on this is back up to $200, it's still a good deal and I'm thinking about getting one.

I would buy it again for sure. It takes a lot to boil but I just need to get my burner closer. The bottom is so thick that my current set up needs to be changed to accommodate that.
