14th Annual AHA Learn to Homebrew Day

Saturday, November 3rd, 2012 from 10:00am till 5:00pm

In honor of the American Homebrewers Association, Calwest Hydroponics & Homebrew Supply is hosting a Learn to Homebrew Day location.

The Brewluminati Homebrew Club from Anaheim will be brewing about 10 batches onsite. The invite was also extended to Inland Empire Brewers as well as anyone that wants to brew that day.

Besides the actual brewing going on, the main feature that we will be having is a Beer Garden for Charity. The organization that we chose to run & benefit from the Beer Garden is Habitat for Humanity, Riverside.

The tentative list of events/entertainment for that day are as follows:

- Brewing demonstrations by Brewluminati Homebrew Club
- Brewing demonstrations by Inland Empire Brewers Homebrew Club
- Brewing demonstration of the White House Honey Ale (special guest)
- Music / DJ Shane
- Music / Mitch Steele’s Band (pending his work schedule)
- Music / Local Band, The Robbery (Riverside)
- Music / Local Band, India (Redlands)
- Food / (supplier TBA)
- Dessert / Brewcakes
- Beer Garden / (so far = Packinghouse, Inland Empire Brewing, Hangar 24, Black Market Brewing, Craft Brewing, Wiens Brewing, Aftershock Brewing...more to follow)
- Misc Entertainment / IE Divas Roller Derby Team
- Misc Entertainment / X103.9 fm romote broadcasting on location
- Misc Entertainment / Homebrew Competition for Prizes & Ribbons
- Misc Entertainment / Book Signing by Mitch Steele (IPA book) ((pending his his work schedule))
- Misc Vendor Booths / (TBA)
- Storewide Discounts & Sales

If you want to brew onsite that day, please get a hold of us prior to then so we can work out an unheard of discount for you on your ingredients. Otherwise just show up with your equipment and we’ll fit you in.

Or if you want to just show up for the fun, please do so. Our events are usually pretty fun & lots of people show up. Besides, this will be a great beer garden and its for charity!

We will also be giving a few tours of our soon to open Micro Brewery & Brew on Premises location right next to our existing store. Our target opening date is around Christmas 2012!!!

Hope to see you all here!

Cheers,
JIMI

Considering that Jimi's post was nearly three years ago and CalWest is no longer there, discounts on 3 year old yeast vials better be free!
