Ray's Snowflake Smoked Porter Extract:

Kit767

8lbs liquid English Light malt.

Grains: 2lbs Rauch, 1.5lbs Crystal 40L, 5oz Carafa Special II.

Hops: 1oz Fuggles (90 min bittering), .5 Saaz (final 10 min flavoring), .25 Saaz (aroma, flame out steeping OR dry hop).

Whirfloc or Irish Moss for final 20min.

Original Gravity 1.055-1.060,
Sugg Ferm temp 66-70degF
White Labs British Ale yeast,WLP005.

Gold Country Brewers Assoc Golden Ale Extract Recipe

Malt Extracts/ Additions
12 lbs Pilsner Extract
1 lbs Clear Candy Sugar

Grain
3 oz Aromatic

Hops
.5 oz Hallertaur added for a 60 minute boil (bittering hops)
2 ozBritish Kent Goldings added for a 60 minute boil (bittering hops)
1 oz Saaz added for a 5 minute boil (Flavor hops)

Water Treatment
1 oz Clarifiers - Whirfloc (1)
added to the last 20 minutes of the boil (improves beer's clarity)

Bottling
4 oz Corn Sugar at bottling


Recipe Specific
Add the Candy sugar in the boil (can do it at beginning, but we prefer near the end)
Keg: GCBA Belgian Ale , Pliny the Elder

Primary: Vinnie's Blind Pig IPA
Secondary: Ruination Clone


Coming up: Any suggestions? I was thinking of Denny's Rye IPA...is there a Racer x clone anyone recommends? =D or the Dreadnaught clone they think is pretty on?
