Cold Water Brewery & Grill

Postby MaltnHopsrGood » Mon Aug 03, 2015 11:38 am

I was up in Lake Tahoe a few days ago and stopped in at this place. I got the 9 beer sampler, so that I could taste each of their house beers. I was disappointed with their blonde as there was a heavy bit of DMS and a slight diacetyl flavor. Happy to report that all other beers were great though. The best were their Citra-Ass Down and Mr. Toad's Wild Rye. Very tasty beers! Also the food was amazing! The food here was by far the best that we had while we were there. We had the tri-tip beef dip, fish tacos, fish & chips, and the pulled pork tostadas. Every one tasted all the food because we were each raving about how good it was.

I highly recommend this place! The service was great and the atmosphere was awesome. If you're in the area, stop in there.

Where on the Lake is this place, MaltnHops? Tahoe is a big place and this sounds like something we'd like to visit, too! :)

Sorry for the lake reply. I haven't been very active lately. It's on the south shore, very close to stateline. Right along the main road. Forgive me, but I don't remember the name of the road.

No worries! Thanks for getting back to me. South Shore is probably the most difficult for me to get to from where we are located at the lake, tho. Time was when my parents had a condo in South Shore, but not now. But, you never know when an opportunity might present itself! :)
