Pike is pretty good but my fave is Big Time Brewing in the University district. You could walk there but it would be a hike. Take a taxi or the bus. Also up the hill is Elysian, which a lot of people like but I've never been a big fan of.
There's a Pyramid at the ballpark, you can walk there easily. If you can get out to the Fremont/Ballard neighborhoods, try Maritime Pacific and Hale's. Both excellent but also further than you want to walk, probably.
Seattle is my all-time favorite city. Have a great time and take a ferry ride, even if you don't get off the boat. BTW, in the Pike Place Market is a restaurant called The Athenian. It was used for the scene in "Sleepless in Seattle" where Tom Hanks and Rob Reiner discuss tiramisu and, despite that, it is actually a local hangout. Besides having a really decent beer selection, they make a crab melt sandwich that is worth going to Seattle for all by itself.
P.S. Don't let anybody tell you that McMenimen's is good. It is very mediocre.
