gentlemen i hold in my hand

Postby speed » Fri Jan 20, 2012 10:39 am

a beer that isn't supoposed to hit the market until superbowl weekend. the bud salesman came around to our store today and gave me a bottle of bud light platinum. it comes in a transluscent blue bottle with a platinum cap and 6.0 ABV. nothing more on the bottle so i'm assuming its just a high gravity bud light? anyway its cool to look at.

Looks like a giant version of the Sam Adams triple bock from years gone by.

Speaking of bud. Anyone an Art Mann fan? I was watching a recent episode and some red neck (shocker I know) kept refering to his normal budweiser (not bud lite) as a Bud "Heavy". Cracked me up that he felt the need to note that he was not drinking a lite.

Bud Heavy....too funny.

I have been calling it bud heavy for as long as I can remember. Must be a red neck thing.

Seriously? Perhaps it is regional thing. The thing that really cracked me up was, at least in my mind, Heavy = weight while lite as in beer means less filling, cals. and probably taste (be that minor between any bud variant).

Heavy as the opposite of lite just seemed so far off the mark I had to LOL at the TV.

Do you "heavy" referencing people use that term for coors, miller, amstel, etc.

Coors Heavy. I'm going to start that up with my crowd and see how it goes over.
