Went to my favorite sushi bar and tried a new beer to me, Asahi Black, fantastic ! Really fell in love with this beer, very easy to drink, so much flavor, just a dam great beer. It really reminds me of Guinness Draught, but better. The Asahi Black is considered a Dunkel. Why a Dunkel when it has three different roasted malts, I was guessing it was a Porter while drinking it.
Bottle & can: Pasteurised.
Ingredients: Dark roasted malt; hops; rice; maize; Asahi’s pure cultured yeast.
Japan’s favourite dark beer. Brewed in Osaka, Asahi Black is made from three different roasted malts. This gives it a rich, nutty flavour and makes it incredibly smooth-drinking. Unlike other, more bitter dark beers and stouts, it’s brewed in a process called bottom fermentation, which gives it a subtle, sweet edge and smooth 5% abv." http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/asahi-black-kuronama/6792/
Bottled: Gewurztraminer, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, 16B, 18B, 18E, 19B, 20, 21A, 23, 27
BEER, a mixture of malted grains, water, hops and yeast, that is transformed through the course of fermentation that transcends the simplicity of those basic ingredients, fundamentally into the drink of life.
