Alameda Yellow Wolf IIPA

Postby Klickitat Jim » Sun Jan 27, 2013 7:11 pm

Decided to try an import so I grabbed this thinking Alameda would be from The Peoples Republic of California. Nope, Weird Portland.

I guess to each his own. I like hops, mmmk? But they found the skunkiest funkiest monkiest in earth and probably used equal portions hops/malt. Tastes like they steeped in a loggers sock

No head, tons of lacing, about 8 SRM, and just like Portland its hazy all the time.

But the 22 oz is great because my frosty mugs are 22 oz, so it fits the bill there. It's supposed to be 8% ish, and that's nice because I am cold and have a headache from the skunk.

A better name would be Steel Reserve IPA. Sorry Alameda, you lost me.
