Chimay Blue

Damn it! You guys have got me into Belgians! Got this one to try after work tonight. Can't wait. By the way, my big blonde is fermenting nicely. I couldn't reach 80 deg with it, but has been at 77 for a week and smells like candied bananas with a hint of clove and nutmeg.

Off work finally...
Here's my redneck review of Chimay Blue label Grand Reserve Trappist
Its good. Not as good as Sierra Nevada Ovila Quad. It's got a crazy huge head and carbed like champagne. High alc but not noticeable to the tongue. It has a slight plum flavor that makes you think Dr Pepper, and there is a slight banana-fig-clove hit from the yeast. To me its like a real high quality big stout. If Ovila is a ten, this is an 8.

Try the white best of the three Cs in my opinion.
