Schlägl Roggen Gold

I must say this was a jewel of a beer. Brewed in Austria, Schlägl Roggen Gold beer, a rye beer that is organically made, BJCP # 15D, Roggenbierbeer (German Rye Beer).

Poured a amber color, moderate head, great lacing. Aroma of malt and rye. Taste of malt/rye, then finishes off in rye flavor, very well balanced. This is not an American Rye beer, hoped up, actually I could not perceive any hops at all. I would buy this beer many times over.

BEER, a mixture of malted grains, water, hops and yeast, that is transformed through the course of fermentation that transcends the simplicity of those basic ingredients, fundamentally into the drink of life.
