Repitching Yeast After Biofine Clear?

Post by xBREWx » Mon Apr 13, 2015 8:49 pm

I would like to repitch the yeast from my IPA and use it for a double IPA. But I also like to use Biofine clear to help my beer clear up. Can I have both?

I'm not sure if using using the biofine clear will make the yeast 'heavy' or something and make them flocc out early for the next batch.

Thanks!

I'm not typically a fan of doing secondaries but what I would do in your situation is just that. Let the beer ferment out in primary, transfer it to a secondary where you can dry hop and later add your clarifier and recover the yeast from the primary.
