Making your board look normal

Postby gfoster » Sat Mar 08, 2008 9:04 am

Now that we have the new software installed, I've installed another theme for the board that approximates the look and feel of the old board (with all the new features still). I've also made this the default theme for new users, etc. If you want to play with the themes or you want to change the way the board looks to you, go into your user control panel to change your settings. In there you will find an option allowing you to change the theme. The two themes are prosilver and subsilver2. Subsilver2 is the one that looks most like the old board style. Feel free to change yours back and forth and see which you like better.

Thanks for that Gary. I was lost for a while, but changed back to the subsilver2. It's as comfortable as an Old Brown Shoe. :D

Gary - if you lived closer, I would hand deliver a home brew to you. You da man!

Ah, thanks. I was very confused by the new look at first - I didn't flow as well in my mind. Subsilver makes things look much more normal. The only suggestion I have is to make the header bar that contains the pbpbb logo and "morebeer's brew chat" smaller length-wise - it would make the visual appeal better IMO.

There is only one problem I have with the new format. When I click on a link in someones post it takes me out of the B3 forum rather then opening another window.

I'm not used to having to click the "back" button to get back to the forum and at least 5 times today I just closed the window like I used to do. Is there any way to fix it and make it like the old board and open a new window each time?

And what's the deal with "British English" being the only language offered?
