Probably been answered before.....

But, how do you add a hyperlink to text in a post? I just hate posting the whole URL.

Thanks!

Code: Select all
[url="http://forums.moreflavor.com"]MoreBeer Forum[/url]

MoreBeer Forum

Click the URL button, then add an =http://WWW.WHATEVER.COM after the [url before the ]

if that makes sense

you don't really need the quotation marks in that statement either.

Simple steps
1-copy the url you want to use
2-press the url button in the message editor
3-backspace (left arrow) one time
4-enter an =
5-paste the link
6-right arrow one time
7-enter your link text
Done

I know 7 steps makes it sound bad but they are smaller than baby steps

OK, giving it a shot here.

Yippee! It worked. Thanks, now I don't have to look like such a dork with long URLs in my messages.

Not quite what you were asking, but you don't always need to use the [URL] tag either.

If you just type in www. website name .com, it'll do an auto-URL thing

http://www.morebeer.com

The above morebeer address was typed in with no URL tag or anything, just www. morebeer .com (without the spaces)

Hey BeerPal, I found it here. It really does work very well. Be careful though. I've been surfing the forums on brewday and had this scare the sh*t out of me when the timer goes off. Sounds like an air raid siren! Be sure to turn your speakers down to an appropriate level! :)
