What is cold break

I heard this word, cold break. What is this? Does this something to do with "hot break"?

Umm... "cold break" is two words. :P

Cold break refers to proteins that precipitate out of the wort during cooling.
"Make beer not war"

Conditioning: SNPA clone
On tap: Mike McDole's American Amber, SNPA clone, Pyramid Haywire Hefeweizen (commercially brewed), EJ Phair Pale Ale (commercially brewed)

Do you siphon the wort into another bucket before adding the yeast?

You don't need to. The cold break and other trub will settle out after fermentation is complete. No need to over-complicate it.
