Just don't mix 'em!

My Sour Pale Ale. This was a complete experiment that turned out really nice.

90% 3L 2-Row
10% Flaked Barley
Kettle soured with GoodBelly StraightSHots for 48 hours
1.5oz of whole leaf Belma for 60 minutes
4oz of whole leaf Belma in a 30 minute whirlpool
Fermented with resurrected WY1056 smack packs that had gotten partially frozen

Beautiful color and head (although it dissipates pretty quickly), nicely tart and tastes of Mandarin Oranges upfront and dry with a Tangerine bitterness on the finish.

I brewed 10G of IPA on Saturday. There was finally a little break in the heat, so I took advantage. I used 19 oz of hops  Going for a Sculpin Clone. We'll see how it turns out.

Racking 6 gallons of a 4 month old kettle sour onto Mango Puree and adding some Bootleg Biology Funk Weapon 2 to give it some depth and add to the citrus tartness.

10 gallons of JZ's Brown Ale. Good to be back brewing again after several months of slacking.
Hit my numbers and all looking good. About to start the IC. :D
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Well brewing today gave me the fever again. I measured out the grains for 10 gallons of an IPA; hope to brew it next weekend.

I with you on that. I've brewed the last two weekends. Ordinary Bitter and IPA with wheat and rye. I gave up my Saaz IPA plans, or at least put them on hold.

Next up - 10 gallons of IPA; about to fire up the burners on this cool, sunny NC morning.

I had not brewed all year and now have 20 gallons in 6 days. I'm just going to say I'm overachieving and leave it at that.

Had yesterday off so instead of playing 18, I decided to brew a Porter.
That put me at brewing 25 gallons in 12 days. My lonely kegerator will soon be full again.
