Nubee Books

My son has begun winemaking and I'd like to get him a book or two for him to build his knowledge. Since he's new, something with the basics+ would be perfect.

Any ideas?

For something free, check out the following monograph from UC Davis:
http://wineserver.ucdavis.edu/content.p ... Winemaking
If he doesn’t have any experience with making homemade alcoholic beverages of any kind, I’d suggest “The Joy of Home Wine Making” by Terry Garey. She deliberately glosses over many of the technical issues and takes a “relax, don’t worry, have a homebrew” approach to things. You can find a link to the book on Amazon.com on my website.

Caveat: The above post is likely the product of homebrew fueled wild speculation and most likely has no basis in fact.
